Rabbits have been a recurring motif in Rebecca Stevenson’s work for many years. The woodlands and hills of her childhood in the countryside, the tales of Beatrix Potter and the films of Walt Disney fired her universe.

According to her, a rabbit represents innocence and vulnerability, and like a child it is both shy and curious, wild and tame, vulnerable and spirited. In her sculptures, Rebecca Stevenson is interested in the depth of feeling these small animals can arouse in Humans.
